SharePoint out of box page layouts, in addition to the three custom page layouts we will develop:

Intranet Home Page Layout (ONLY available in the Intranet Home Page site collection)

Department Home Page Layout (web part zone on the right, available in all site collections except Intranet Home Page)

Blank Page Layout (content editor area page layout, available in all site collections except Intranet Home Page)

Page layouts are for use with publishing sites.  Steps for creating a new page layout:
